An excursion is an activity organised by a school during which students leave the school grounds to engage in educational activities. Keeping this aspect in mind the school organizes many educational tours for the students and provides them an opportunity to have first hand practical knowledge of their community or society. The school believes very strongly in the educational value of well-planned visits and is a firm supporter of outdoor education. Various trips are organized to different places of educational importance through which children have a deep insight of history, economics, science like heritage walks, like visit to PGIMER or Big Bazaar or Planetarium or Lok Sabha, and visit to Historical Places.

The zeal for the same continues as The SD Vidya school offers its students an educational tour to NASA to enlighten them about the tremendous developments that have been achieved in the field of outer space science and technology. After a tough procedure of selection and all the legal formalities and documentation, the school arranges a trip of students with teachers and tries to provide and create unique learning experiences.
